Parade Marshals must be 18+ and help to ensure the safety of parade participants and attendees along the parade route by:
- Monitoring for safety along the parade route
- Actively help to keep kids and parade goers off the parade route (out of the street)- using rope and/or sidewalk chalk to draw safety boundaries
- Direct crowds as needed
- Monitor for gaps and spacing between parade participant vehicles and floats
Safety Marshal Requirements:
- ADULTS ONLY
- Must be comfortable giving direction to parade viewers and being assertive
- Must be comfortable giving direction to parade participant vehicles for maintaining a safe distance along the parade route
