2026 St. Patrick's Day Parade

The City of Dublin will host
“The Greenest, Grandest Parade” Saturday, March 14, 2026. The parade route begins at Metro Center and continues through Historic Dublin.

Volunteers bring leprechauns to life, create dynamic balloon displays, manage backlot procedures and more. This community event happens because of our dedicated volunteers and teams who create a fun and unique experience for City of Dublin residents and visitors!

This parade happens in snow, rain, sun or cold.
Volunteers walking the parade route should be comfortable walking two miles. We welcome volunteer teams for our balloon displays. Please contact sesala@dublin.oh.us for more information.
Each volunteer at the parade is essential. Only register to volunteer if you are fully committed to serving the entire length of your shift.

American 250 Drum Balloon Handlers

Description

Celebrate America 250 with a Drum Balloon

Volunteers should be 16+ with good upper body strength and the ability to follow direction
Volunteers will walk a one mile parade route with an additional mile for anyone needing to return to their vehicle in the volunteer parking lot.
Other volunteers may walk alongside the balloon as part of your group. Please contact sesala@dublin.oh.us to coordinate.

This balloon will either be a helium balloon with ropes or a cold air balloon to be carried. We'll update volunteers once we know, but please note that anyone on this balloon should be prepared either way and have excellent upper body strength.

	Is Outdoors
	Inclement Weather Plan: RAIN, SHINE OR SNOW – please show up. Call the Volunteer Information Line at 614-410-4753 for updates starting at 8 AM the morning of the parade. Changes/updates will be recorded as needed.
	Closed-toe shoes
	Bring warm gloves with a good grip for the ropes (some pairs will be available onsite)
	Do not bring valuables or items to carry. There is no place to leave them at the balloon lot and your hands will be needed for the ropes
