Previous event experience with the City of Dublin strongly preferred - staff will reach out to volunteers without this experience to determine if this role is the right fit.
The volunteer tent is located inside the Graeter's parking lot.
Registration volunteers will assist staff in checking in batches of volunteer teams. They will check off people from list, report on which volunteers have failed to check in by their assigned time and provide directions to parade volunteers. Directions may include:
- Whether a volunteer should wear an apron or provided gloves
- Which specific team the volunteer is on
- Where to stand in the lot
- What time to report back if the volunteer is early
Required:
- Ages 16+
- Ability to work flexibly in a loud, fast-paced environment
- Ability to read an alphabitized list
- Ability to provide personalized directions with attention to detail
- Willingness to ask staff questions when unsure of the answer to avoid giving incorrect information
Please note that road closures will still be in place by the end of this shift.
Volunteer Registration Tent volunteers should not report to the north or south information tents.
