Calling all of Dublin's littlest volunteers (K-5th graders) for our next Kids In Dublin Service project!
K.I.D.S. Can be Prepared to Make an Impact By:
- Breaking out into intergenerational groups to share stories and experiences based on provided prompts. The prompts will be community-focused and meant to promote belonging in Dublin.
- Creating storybooks within their group based on the selected prompt and planning to share it with the larger group at the end of the project. Storybooks will include a written story and illustrations!
- Making and decorating bookmarks to gift to the senior residents at Brookdale.
- We will also be gifting large-print books to the senior residents from our MLK Civic Service Series Project Read (this project is full) happening this weekend.
Details (please read):
- This project will take place at Brookdale Muirfield.
- All supplies provided. Feel free to bring a large print book (easy reading for older eyes) to donate if you wish, this is not required.
- Space is limited. Please register each participating child individually.
- Parents do not need to register themselves. Only the participating children will be registered.
- The Kids In Dublin Service program is open to K-5th graders in the City of Dublin or Dublin City School District.
- We understand things come up, please only register your child for the project if you plan to attend AND remove your child from the project if you can no longer attend as we have limited space.
- Each child MUST bring an adult to stay on-site with them for the entirety of the project.
