Volunteer: Parade Floaters (Unassigned)The parade must go on!
When volunteers registered for specific parade roles, such as banner carriers, balloon handlers or inflatable costume characters are unable to make it to the parade for their shift, a parade unit is left short. That's where you come in! Our parade floaters step in where needed when a unit is missing a volunteer. Floaters should be extremely flexible and able to take on any role in the parade with short notice. When you arrive, you will check-in at the volunteer table and wait to see if a role becomes open. In the unlikely event no role is open, you are welcome to march alongside one of our balloon units or will be released to view the parade on your own. Ages 16+ - No ExceptionsVolunteers in this role should not expect to be placed with friends or family volunteering at the parade. We will assign you where the need is highest.Wear proper footwear.Must be comfortable walking the one-mile parade route.
